应中共中央和中共中央总书记胡锦涛的邀请，中国国民党主席吴伯雄率访问团于5月26日至31日到南京、北京、上海访问，并将与中共中央总书记胡锦涛举行工作会谈。吴伯雄成为第一个以台湾执政党主席身份访问大陆的政党领导人。在当前台湾局势发生积极变化的新形势下，这次访问将有利于国共两党加强交流对话，在两岸重启互信，进一步共同努力推动两岸关系和平发展。在美华人和海外华人衷心祝愿会谈成功，中美集邮中心特制此封来纪念两岸关系上的最新进展。
            Nationalist Party Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung to visit the mainland China
                                   (May 26-31, 2008)

In a sign of warming relations, the CPC Central Committee has invited the head of Taiwan's ruling party, Nationalist Party Chairman Wu Po-hsiung to visit the mainland from May 26 to 31, where he is to meet with Hu Jintao, the General Secretary of CPC Central Committee.  With positive changes of the current situation in Taiwan, Wu's visit will be conducive to strengthening the communication and dialogue of the two parties and will push forward the peaceful development of cross-strait relations. All overseas Chinese wish the meeting success.
